Not mine but a friend's 300. Replaced a bent front wheel.

Anyone looking to get a 300 front wheel with a lil flat spot?

Off with the decals.......the easy way.

I wrestled with the decals on the bike using a hair dryer and some goo gone. Sweated and did a lot of swearing. Ran out of goo gone after 3 hours of scrubbing only finishing about a 1/4 of the bike. Went to Lowe's. Ran into an old gentleman who works there who handed me this: Citrus Air freshener!!! Came home and finished the other 3/4 of the bike in about an hour. I was so elated I called Lowe's to thank the guy.......

Be careful with Goo Gone and similar products, they can soften some types of paints and plastics.

WD-40 usually removes adhesive safely.

Rode her to work today! About 15 miles at 50-60 in moderate traffic. Longest ride it's been on since September last year.

Werd. Plain old pink.

Just like mine are "bronze chrome" per the powder coat people and I know the name but really all I see when I look at them is "brownish gold"

Well, wasn't today, but over the weekend I installed a fairing set on my Ninjette turning it from Red to Blue. Somehow I forgot to purchase the front fender from the guy selling the fairing parts. I'm thinking about painting it flat black.

Went from this:

To this:

On Friday went with my daughter to DMV to turn in her paperwork and make her temporary motorcycle permit real. When we pulled into the DMV parking lot I smelled coolant. Looked over at her bike and saw a pin hole leak in the top of the tank. When I got home I figured I'd patch it with some epoxy while I sourced a replacement radiator. Went to clean up the pinhole with a wire brush and ended up with a 3/16" hole. The JB Weld seems to be holding for now, but I'm looking for a new radiator.

That was my weekend, did manage to get a little ride in on Sunday morning.

@VaFish try taking the radiator to a radiator shop, it might be cheaper. They can also boil it, pressure check, etc....

Not sure if that is an option now that I put all the JB weld on it. But I'll check around.

No problem, it shouldn't effect them fixing it.

Well the red front fender didn't sit too well with me. So last night I pulled it off, washed it real good to get the grease and grime off, then hit it with some flat black plastidip spray paint. Got a couple of coats on before I went to bed.

This morning at 5:00 am, after my run, I was putting the front fender back on. I think it looks pretty good, and I got to park next to a nice red ninjette at work today.

Nicely done sir,
Did something similar to mine, except I used satin black paint. I think it goes well, maybe someday I'll find one in the OEM silver, but the tank is first.

Found a fender eliminator I liked.

(I also put the shogun no cut frame sliders on back in late July, but that isn't recent!)

With the black engine, black pipes, black rear fender and black seat, I think the black front fender looks better than a color matched one would.

Installed a set of 1" risers/lowering blocks and a set of foam grip covers. It's a daily commuter, so the mods are for comfort.

Just a "little" one. According to NASA portions of the county I live in are sinking up to 2 inches a month from all of the ground water that is being used. Pretty Crazy stuff.

Cleaned almost all the OEM harness connectors with contact cleaner, and reassembled with dielectric grease, I was bored, and it's preventive maintenance item.

Took a nice ride thru some awesome back roads, which there is a bunch of around here. I found myself going thru a small Amish community, which I noticed a bunch of Amish ladies, playing frisbee, made my day.

Not today, last week, but discovered I'm missing some of my fairing.

I'm not sure which is scarier, hitting something hard enough to tear off body parts or no noticing it when it happened?

The only thing I can imagine happening was maybe I did clip the jack rabbit on my big ride a few weekends ago and he hit just right to snap the fairing?
