Got my solo seat cowl today, no installed. Decided to go with a cheap ebay one, they claimed to only come with what you see in the picture, but it comes with all hardware aswell, the fit is perfect, and color is matched perfectly aswell! Bought from here https://www.ebay.ca/ulk/itm/271812589576 incase anyone is interested, only 33$ CAD, so 25$ us! Can't go wrong at that price!

Also did a fresh oil change with KN401 filter, cleaned the oil screen and upgraded to new clutch springs!

Enjoy the day everyone, it's 27c here today in canada (I know, how odd gotta love global warming ) so I'm gonna get out there and riiiide! Take care!

Husband put on my new tire (front and back match again), and I got the rim tape put on! I tried to hit it with either the link button or the IMG tags but it doesn't show up and that's weird.

Played with the jets again and we almost have the carb done! Hoping all it needs is a little more tweaking on the mixture screws and i'll be back in business!

Paid for the revalved and rebuilt Fox shock for my race bike. Now I'll have decent suspension front and rear. Woot!

I ran it up to temp. Made sure the fan comes on and goes off. I also watched the oil and water temp level off then ran the fuel out of the carb. Then I adjusted the rear suspension. I want the rear swing arm level when I sit on it. So I went up a notch.

Actually took the cafe racer for a ride today. Still need to put the Trail Tech Vapor on and finish the tank, but it lives!

Also too much chain lube and exhaust wraps are not good combinations.

awesome, I recently saw a article on a 500x with upgrades from Rally Raid that made me SERIOUSLY want to get one of those and go down that route.

That's the kit that made me look at the CB over the NC. Will be upgrading to the Level 1b set plus other doodads that Rally Raid (via Giant Loop) offers. Following the RR thread on ADVRider along with Jenny Morgan's cross country ride on one sold me on the ability of the bike.

I installed new clips for the belly pan.

I started it up and let it warm to operating temp.

Checked all the fluids.

Hoping that the weather is good for this weekend so I can take it to the track.

Full fluid & filter change, a hot bath & massage then out on the town and rode her hard all afternoon & evening! 30 degrees Celcius here in April!!!
We kept away from the 4:20 celebrations though (a wee bit legendary here in the land of BC bud!) as I didn't want to sully her brand new air filter!

I was bored today so I replaced all the fuses with Bussmann easyID Illuminating LED Blade Fuses.

When the fuse blows, it lights up to make finding it easier, which on a bike might not seem like a big deal, but at night when you on the side of the road I makes it easier to find the blown fuse.

I pick mine up from Amazon.

Bussmann VP/ATC-10ID easyID Illuminating Blade Fuse, (Pack of 10) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004AH6O9A..._HA-gxbTYVQ1JQ

Bussmann VP/ATC-30ID easyID Illuminating Blade Fuse, (Pack of 10) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004AH8NF8..._nB-gxb7G0572D

Boredom is a wonderful thing.

Light-up fuses? I had no idea such a thing existed. That's kind of cool.

Yeah when it's blown, open circuit it lights up, otherwise it's not.

I'd seen these awhile ago, but I decided to pull the trigger on them finally when I needed some spare fuses to carry in my tool kit.

Quote:
Description
Bussmann easyID Illuminating LED Blade Fuses are a drop-in replacement for low voltage automotive applications up to 100 amperes, that can benefit from open fuse indication. The LED technology shows immediately that a fuse has opened, making them easy to spot in fuse panels tucked up under a dark dashboard.

Got him up and running for the most part. Tried to put some cheap-o saddlebags on but the damn things have no good place to secure them. Need to take another look later.

Took him out on 95 too, as part of the test riding for the jets. I don't get why people say it's no good on the freeway. Had him 75-80 (going with the flow) and feels fine. Still had more to give i thought too. If anything i think the bike handled those speeds better the my 2012 did.

Thanks! I was pleased with how well she handled up to 75mph. So yeah, a 250 can handle the freeway.

Slapped in a new engine after 5 months of biding my time. Rode her up and down the street, engine feels nice and strong. Then idling in the driveway I try the turn signal and it dies and appears to have completely lost spark. Ahhh electrical gremlins my old Kawasaki friend...

Meanwhile the GS 450 survived an assault on Cherohola Skyway with my 7 year old on the back, and the GS1000 awaits a caliper rebuild kit...
