as opposed to anywhere, i watched a couple of your videos, made it 10s and felt like washing my mouth out with 10g Buck Shot. I know i suck at voice on camera so I don't do it, you probably should stop.

well it does make sense, if he were to get a track prepped newgen 250 instead of a 300.

cost of parts needed (rough estimates, not exact)
$40 ebc hh pads
$50 SS front brake line (ignore rear)
$250~ diablo rosso II set
$200 woodcraft clip on bars w/an extra bar or two
$350 woodcraft rearsets
$600 hotbodies fairings kit
$100 racetech springs
$150 racetech emulators (unless I read wrong and it's actually $300)
$100? gsxr shock
$600 high mount area P exhaust (cf or ss)
$400 dynojet power commander

so we have $2840 and we're not even done really...so much naturally a lot can be cut out, -$1000 for exhaust/power commander. -600 for fairings until a crash warrants them. -350 for suspension bits until rider skill exceeds suspension capabilities or rider feels discomfort due to suspension vagueness.

things you really need are the rearsets, tires, lowered bars, SS brake lines, and good pads which add up to $890 and the bike can still be run on the street as it hasn't been fully converted with track fairings.

this opposed to selling for $3500 and picking up a race ready ninja 250 for $2000-2500. I doubt a race ready ninja 300 would be going for less than $3500 though due to the demand and cost of parts.

really the only thing you "need" are tires and body work, until you start to out ride your suspension and brakes. you can sell your stock fairings for a pretty good price if you live in a densely populated area.

interesting that you'd go for tires and body work, I feel it's tires and brakes.

why do you feel body work is something that's needed, I don't intend to get it until I race CCS or crash and destroy my street bodywork

I could be wrong but I am thinking his thoughts are that why go and mess up a set of nice OEM plastics when you can sell them for decent money and use that money to buy race plastics and still pocket some of the money from selling the stock plastics.
Again I could be wrong but I think this makes sense

on a side note, I am looking into something that could be interesting for the brakes, potentially a new bolt on conversion. I will know more in a week or so.

that does make sense, though only if you never intend to ride the bike on the streets. my oem plastics aren't worth as much though, I'd probably break even and have a right side fairing left over

because you can sell the street body work and get most of your money back.

Thank you but I can get a brand new one for an extra $8.

Sorry that your post turned into a pissing contest.

Enjoy your bike and take it to track days as much as possible. Don't worry about upgrades until you are better than the bike's stock components.

So Danny can be a grump. It's something he needs to work on, sure. But it doesn't make anyone a better person when they belittle him and attack him all at once in front of everyone. If you've got something to say, I'd take it up with him in a PM. Everyone's personal imperfections aside, does anyone really want this to be THAT kind of forum? C'mon. Play nice.

They always do man, ironically only on this forum too. Something about bad first impressions I think.

As for the filter. Send me a PM. I'll give you a better deal.
