Rear view camera for newgens

Interesting: http://www.watchyoursix.com/default.asp

Looks like a plug-and-play system.

erm, sick! BUt why is this only for newgens? Because their mirrors suck and the pre-gens' don't?

This would help with my constant paranoia at red lights with cars coming behind me. Has anyone installed this on their bikes?

There are videos of this on youtube, I saw it a while ago when I was looking for ways to mount a camera for vlogging:

It would be really easy to make a system from seperate components really cheap.

Can it be easily connected to a DVR? How about a multiplexor for recording a wide-angle front cam and a POV helmet cam simultaneously?

Doesn't look like it has any recording/media on-board, just a closed-loop cam to monitor setup.

I know but they probably consider that you may want to also connect it to a DVR, though it's wishful thinking to imagine that they'd accommodate other video sources just because most with a DVR would want that. The blacked-out windscreen would have to have a window for a front mounted camera and it seems that they may want to sell a more "premium" kit for this or allow for upgrades so that their product is flexible enough to suit more potential customers.

I gues you could always buy multiple portable DVRs and then sync the videos when composting them in a video editor.

I had a cheap camera from the auto parts store with the camera mounted to the license plate bracket on my old GSXR. The bike did not have mirrors and the camera setup was nice to have. The display was video signal is wireless so you just had a power wire to the display.
