Koso gauge kit GB
OK guys, I talk to Matt ztrack157 about Koso gauge RX2 and he offered me the gauge for $460. He said if I do a GB and get and additional 5 members, he would do it for $430 shipped. This is a PLUG and PLAY kind of kit. You only need to wire in the ground and the power lead, then install the speed sensor that it comes with. It also includes a new cover to replace the old cluster with the plastic trim and a new volt gauge.
The gauge alone cost about $380 with out the cover and is not plug and play. PM me if you need additional info, let's going to get this this rolling, is a great deal. I will try to post pics later today. |

I'm gonna drop by the place where they make Koso gauges, it's only about 15 mins from my place. I'm gonna ask m if they can program it for me and for other members.

There are two thing that should be mentioned . One is 24 hr time . It is fine for me but some don't like it.
Second is the odometer. It starts at 0 when you get it . Then it records mileage . If you disconnect the battery it retains all the settings and the mileage . You cant change it or program it. Not a big deal realy |

this thing is gorgeous. how hard would this be to install??
also i noticed to switch the background colour, you need to flick the high beam on and off, that seems really annoying and frustrating if you are simply flashing someone at night, and the gauges change colour. Any way of getting around that. |

So when installing this koso gauge, you have to discard the stock mechanical speed sensor and replace it with koso's one? Is the Koso speed sensor electrical?

You have to mount magnets to the wheel and a sensor. The usual setup is to replace the brake disk bolt with a bolt that has a magnet in its head and mount the sensor to the fork leg. You could also install it on the rear wheel. You need at least one magnet but can use up to 6 evenly spaced. The more magnets the smoother the speedo will read. The sensor needs to be no more than 8mm from the magnets to read properly.

If this is the case, you can install a gear indicator as well as it needs the elec speed pulse, tach pulse which ninja now has.

I ordered the Koso gauge with Matt, and everything started because I wanted a gear indicator and found about this gauge. I know this doesn't have the gear indicator but in the feature I might get one, need to save some money now. I read that the Koso gear indicator works in conjunction with the Koso gauge but is an expensive item.

If it is plug-and-play, what are the red splice connectors for? Also, the brass temp sensors?

The kit does come with (I believe) a water temperature sensor and an oil temperature sensor. The water temperature sensor goes into an adapter that is spliced into a water hose. The oil temperature sensor goes into a special oil drain plug.

By all means if you find it cheaper (and confirmed with everything you need) go for it. I DO NOT SELL THESE! and I do not plan on it. I was just willing to source them at cost (plus shipping to me and to the member) as a favor. I'm not looking to make money off these. At the end of the day they cost me $350 per setup.
And I need to note the $250 probably doesn't include everything needed.

i make no profit, i mean look at the price, of course there is no profit. i think the reason they are cheaper here is the Economy difference here in thailand. $250 is the price i was told for EVERYthing, the complete kit with installation.. all the installation things you need, the Dash board cover, the wires, sensors.. all that stuff. (just add postage of about $30 bucks) i will not make a dime off these.. i was trying to be helpful..and be part of the Comunity.. But i dont want to stirr up stuff..not trying to make a problem..just help. Maybe i should not bother in future. |

The original kit doesnt come with a VOLTMETER like Matt is offering and so the mounting plate is customized that makes the price higher.
The water temp sensor replace the original on the bike Oil pressure sensor also replace the original on the bike Speedo sensor use a magnetic sensor and magnetic pins attached to your brake rotor After installation a CALIBRATION process is needed to calibrate your sensors . For the same kit without voltmeter and custom adapter plate - I let Matt post the new price for you guys. |

like i have said, this kit comes complete with EVERYTHING.. and plug an play kit, and everything needed, Water temp, oil, speedo, this, that everything. Of course you need to get it calibrated youselfs.. You guys just buy from matt, i am not going to out of my way to help anymore. i just end up coming under fire. For what reason? i dont know.. To be honist, the reason Matt's price, or the price he is getting them for is more costly is becuase he's in the states..i guess...here in Thailand, stuff is cheaper.. anyway. enjoy your Koso's. i should of never stepped up to be a good guy. |

If you buy the gauge it is made to fit any bike . The Kit sell you the individual parts to adapt to a 250 ninja . If KOSO included every adapter to fit every bike the price would be higher .SO you buy the gauge and then buy the things you need to hook it up to your bike .,But the gauge dose not hook its self up or mount itself . You have to do that. |

But the packs say plug and play kit on them lol..(i dont know why) This is the way the shop near me sells em: you chose your dashboard, then you select what bike you need, then you get a litle pack with all the things needed to install on that bike, mount, wires, sensors, etc etc. (actually the shop will install it also, included in the price..shame to waste that free installation eh) (the pic i show before is for KSR110 Kit) i also have installation instuctions. but to be honist there is no way i could install this myself..Seriously...get a pro to do it. Anyway guys, i just know the prices for these here, non of the techinical details. Sure i will learn as time goes on.. |

Ok this thing has gotten blown out of porportion.
Thaininja as stated before I do not care if you are able to provide these at a lower price. Or if you have people buy from you. I was only offering Koso as a courtesy as are you. The difference between the two kits we offer is the voltmeter/ extra gauge space. I am in no way trying to chase you off. I am sending you a pm.
