New Adjustable Pazzo Clutch Lever Installed - PICS
I hated how far out the OEM clutch engaged (hand fatigue) and being new to riding + having smaller hands, I wanted something that was more comfortable and easier to "ease" out consistently.
I ordered the clutch lever (black with green adjuster) from Pazzo and got a call/email from Jamie saying they were out of green (got titanium instead). Great customer service - Jamie was awesome to deal with and made sure my shipment got out ASAP. Anyway, install takes about 10 min... for those who don't read the manual (like me), once the lever is loosened, twist it all the way around so the clutch cable pops off (removed the white plastic bit carefully and put it back in afterwards but not sure if that's necessary). The bike engages like... half an inch out now.. love it. JUST TO CLARIFY, this is the *NEW* pazzo lever specifically designed for our 2008-09 Ninja 250R's (NO EX500 perch required, it is a direct swap) |

Thanks. The lever changed my entire perception of what it means to have a bike that "fits" the rider. It feels so... right.

Cool, That looks like a nice piece there! I guess they finally came out with a 250 specific one, I know a lot of people were retrofitting others...
I don't know if I am the only one, but I actually like where the standard clutch lever engages, I feel that for me it's just right. But then again, my hands are pretty damn big, especially when you compare them to the rest of me, I'm kind of a small person. |

lol, thanks for putting it in proportion Alex. I was just commenting. I've found few people with hands as big as mine...and usually they tower over.

I got mine. Titanium short levers. I got the engraving, It's very small and hard to see . Not really worth the extra $$. When it warms up a little i'll get them on and put up another pic.
They put all the extras in the box free. |

Gary - they let you adjust where the levers are in relation to the bars. For those of us with small hands, it's a really long reach from the bars to the levers. The first day I went out on her, I couldn't really use my left thumb for a couple of days due to the soreness from the reach This lets the levers come in a little closer and engage closer so that you don't have as much hand fatigue

It's 29 degrees, but i couldn't wait to put them on.
Only one bolt removes each lever, so it's real easy...except the clutch side was over torqued at the factory or it's just to damn cold to work outside, but it snapped off. New bolt & nut on order . Here's pics |

Also, what is that single red LED light there for? |

Pazzo is pretty first rate! Have been waiting for motomummy to hook me up...... Finally said screw it, and ordered direct from Pazzo! Well, Marcus just gave me a call letting me know about the adjusters (green/orange) getting plated out in Cali. That it will be a few days and all, told him no problem.... time doesnt really matter to me on it (no rush) Thought it was kinda of nice of them to call.
No longer a surprise brake lever for the the wife........ as she was right there listening. |

For those interested, I just ordered a set(clutch AND brake) for my '08 250 from motomummy and the total cost was $179.00 including free shipping. Also, they have a promotion and throw in a pair of "Driven Gel grips" which retail for $16.00 for free. Saved $36.00 and got the free grips compared to ordering directly from Pazzo which charges $199.00 PLUS $16.00 for shipping to the States. Ordered last night and just got a shipping confirmation this morning. Good deal.

Levers were delivered in two days from Motomummy. Installation is fast and easy. The only mechanical skill needed is the ability to take out and replace a bolt and add a dab of grease. No more than 10 minutes total for brake and clutch. Fit and finish is perfect and the range of adjustment is amazing. I have very small hands and am fine with them set at 2 rather than 1(closest to bar). Highly recommended.
By the way, I got the long ones and they are a little shorter than stock. |

The free grips are nice, but didn't put them on yet. Lots of tiny "nubs" so they add some cushion and won't slip in your hands. I have no problem with the stock grips so in no hurry to change them. |
