owned by an old guy

yo dawgz, i wuz just at starbucks in albertsons ("the BUCK" as i like to call it) and this old guy started disrespectin up on my grillz! thankin me for wearin gear like it aint my style. he was hatin on my jeans talking about how fun it feels to have road rash washed out in the hospital. (hah like i'll crash) he even pulled out the big guns with the 80% of crashes within 5 miles of home. dang papi you're swingin for the fences huh! then he told me i'm a young kid in school... well partly true anyway. dropin the knowledge on me like i aint got none... i've never felt as much like one of those "damn kids" as i did after i was done speaking with him...

he told me they're doing average speed time checks on palomar south grade starting last weekend... if you take less than 8 minutes down the south grade you get a ticket mailed to you

in english: the old guy spewing out great useful knowledge and advice made me feel like an idiot, then gave some more good advice. moral: listen to your elders, kids. especially if they still ride enduros down palomar.

I saw an old guy on one of those motor chairs today with one leg crossed over the top of the other leg. He was lounging and scooting around. It was cute.

....I don't know what that had to do with this but....

So make a uturn before you hit bottom. Or stop for a smoke break.

The big question is - how did they arrive at the number they're using? Did they ride a motorcycle from the top down at the speed limit or are they just guessing?

simple formula

speed=distance/time
they,ve set the max speed limit, they know the distance (linght of road)
so they found out the time , 8 mins.
i hope science could help you today.

I "unfriended" science long ago!

I stick with my original suggestion though - don't go all the way down. That way it'll look like the next guy took forever!
