I know your bike is modded and the switch to the 41 on the rear will get you most of the way down the track in 3rd. You can try the stocker, I did. My times picked up evey time I lost teeth in the rear. But the jump from 43 to the 41 barely made a difference, but it did make a little difference. If your over 150 lbs I would recomend the 43T. As you may know getting thru the 1/4 means keeping the bike pulling thru the whole quarter. The little 250 doesnt have the tourqe to get good pull in 4th with the 45T. 3rd with the 41 is like 3rd and 1/2 with the stock gear. BTW I ran 15.3-4 ish stock.

do the JE's bump the comppresion? If so to what? I know thats horsepower. If your pulling the motor apart you gona get a 3 angle, port, and polish on the head? Id be interested in seeing that on the dyno.

You can see the dyno when its done as for whats in the motor thats a secret. I'm a big boy 215 hoping to get that back into the 180's after I get off my butt and start running again. 43 rear is what I was thinking.

This weekend, probably at Sunday I'm going check tire pressure, fill the tank with 100 octane fuel and will try to break my own current record. Although it depends on the traffic.
I think this bike ( stock ) should get to 170 - 175 km/h. according his own speedometer. I get to 160 - 165 km/h relatively fast and easy. I think I gonna need 2 or 3 kilometers more.

I am not quiet familiar with Kawasaki models. Why ZZR 250 and ZXR 250 archive 200 km/h? Different engines, or what ?

Speaking of what I roughly remember - they have a bit more power - about 40 HP I think.

looks like there 12.5 and 13 bet your gona try the 13's. lol Gona swap out for a thinner gasket and hopefully pull 13.25? how about a hint on the valve clearance, or where to find out about it? It sounds like you will do well on the dyno with 13+ but dont you think you should wait a bit for the over-bore kit that someone will come up with? I would love to have a 12.5 to 1 300cc motor. The bump in compression and the addition of another 50cc's would probably get ya another stong 10+ horsepower.

no cc increase for me The valve clearance on our motor isso close you can really do much in that department. Plus I would like to not have to run out and buy another motor plus I'd like to still be able to ride it around for fun.

We know if we just want to go faster to buy a bigger bike. I own a bigger bike but where's the fun in that ya I can go 160 but i didn't build. If I have the money to screw around and build something up on my own dime its my preogative. It's not the essence of going fast that I'm after. But rather pushing things to the limits. Racer X is doing the same thing it is fun for us and I'm sure you guys like watching what can be done with our bikes.

175 kph (108 mph) showing on the speedo, absolutely. But no way a stock ninjette hits those actual speeds.

Ya it kind of peter's out after 12000rpm in 6th. For a bone stock bike you won't get over 175 though.

108mph is the top of 5th with a 41T rear, if memory serves. If the bike is properly modded and tuned she'll pull that no problem. and a little of 6th too.

With 14/41, 13000 rpm in 5th = 103.4 mph with stock tires. A stock bike won't pull til 13k at over 100 mph, but I'd imagine depending on what modded and tuned means, it certainly could.

Im talkin 108 indicated Alex. Im sure its over 105 on the speedo when I click her into 6th. Given the right conditions my little mill will turn damn near 12,500 in 6th. (cool fall night, low humidity and me under the gas tank)

Indicated, I agree, absolutely! But keep in mind that the 12.5k being shown on the tach isn't terribly accurate either... As with all of these discussions, the only ones that stand up to even the slightest scrutiny are timing lights, gps, radar, or conclusively beating the guy you were racing. Everything else (what the speedo showed, what the tach showed, what it felt like to the butt dyno) are all well and good, but most need to be heavily discounted by the time it gets from one guy's keyboard to another guy's monitor...

The ZX2R is a four cylinder four stroke making 40+hp at 17000 rpm . They are still around in Australia and Japan .
The zzr250 is a lot like the first gen 250 but with an aluminum frame.

I think it is a ton of fun to make these little bikes go faster . I have had all the bigger bikes . I miss some of them but this 250 is just a lot of fun .

Oh no doubt, I was reading just shy of 120mph when my buddies R6 was reading 109mph and the GPS was reading 108mph. He was right on my back wheel at the time. Ive tried to math out the rpm thing and the best I can figure the Tach is pretty close on the very top end.

I tried mine the other day on a secluded interstate out here. I weigh about 240 in my riding stuff. Bike is a 2009 w/ 3000 miles, bone stock. My speedo showed about 97-98 and my GPS I had on the bike at the time verified 89 mph. When I was doing 80 on the speedo, GPS read 73.5, doing 70 on speedo showed 65.3.

Just sharing my experiences with a 240lb. rider and how inaccurate the speedo is.

That was my top speed, it was SLOWLY climbing, so I am going to say with a rider my size, top speed is on a stock bike is around 90+ mph.

Similar size here Kenny, and sounds just about right. Stock gearing here, and stock entire drivetrain for that matter. I've seen 93 mph on the GPS, speedo read 105 ish, and at most it had another mph or 2 left; it took a heck of a long time to get there already...

Concerning GPS devise - I agree with you. To avoid a misunderstanding :

175 km/h on the speedo, absolutely stock Ninjette, ridden by bogdanb ( about 130 pounds less the gear) .

I got mine completely maxed out all by its self.

I was fully tucked with knees and elbows tight but it was flat with no tail wind and I wasn't drafting behind anyone either.

I like my little bike. After I changed the front sprocket I haven't tried it yet, but I did get the bugger up to 103 indicated yesterday.

I ran the 15/43 set up last year at Maxton. I made my only perfect run. I hit the rev limiter at the trap 13500 rpm and recorded a speed of 104.7 mph . I don't think it will go any faster. I like the 15/43 for daily riding .I have no reason to go 105 mph on the street and the acceleration is very nice.

Just the topside of 180kph on speedo. YES it was down hill. Have a 15 tooth front sprocket, the only mod. A buddy was behind me on his gsxr said he was reading 178, if that means much. But can usually pull an indicated 160-170 on the flats, really seems to depend on temperature. Got to love those cooler, denser air days.
