2 Great Offers From Cycle Control!!

First, let me apologize for running a few days behind! We just moved into a new building and things got a bit hectic! The good news is that we are now settled in and are enjoying our new space

Now for the good stuff:

Rearset Adjusters Group Buy

We are offering 1% off for each person signing up for the GB up to 20%

That means if we get 10 people signed up the discount will be 10%, making the price $62.99. Or if 20 people sign up the discount will be 20%, making the final price $55.99... or anywhere in between. The discount will only go up to 20%, but there is no limit to the number of people able to sign up. If we get 30 + people signed up we will likely sweeten the deal a bit.

This is for our '08-'09 Ninja 250 Rearset Adjusters - Color: Black

The GB will run until Friday August 21st with the orders shipping the following week.

To Sign-Up simply e-mail sales@cyclecontrol.com with GB-250R in the subject line. Please include your Ninjette Username and quantity desired in the e-mail.

Adjustable Levers Discount

For the month of August, Ninjette.org members can use coupon code ILoveMyNinjette to purchase our adjustable levers for only $164.99

This offer is only good until the end of August, so hurry

We have a good amount of levers in stock, but please be patient with us during this group buy. It is difficult to predict what colors will be in demand, so it may take longer than usual to fill orders. We will do our absolute best to stay on top of everything.

If anyone has any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks all! Enjoy

Ok Ian
How much shorter are the short lever vs. stock? Also standard ones are the same size as stock right?

Thanks

Do the levers only fit the wannabe sport bike 08-09 models? Not that I'm biased to the pregen

The shortys are about 1" shorter than the standard length. The standards are pretty close to the originals.

Sure, our lever builder on our site lets you do that!

I'm pretty sure we do have them to fit the pregens... I'll double check the fitment.

Thx for this, Ian! I hope you fill up the group buy quickly. I'm going to move this thread to the Classifieds section, but there will be pointer to it from here for a week as well.

I can thoroughly recommend the levers - got mine fitted yesterday and have been amazed at the difference it has made to ease of use of clutch and brake levers.. I have small hands and now have the levers set on 4 for the brake and 3 for the clutch and it's been great so far... I also have the rearset adjusters but have yet to fit them...

I went with the shorty levers!

Can't wait to chuck those massive stockers.

Last mod of the season probably.

Got my rearset adjusters fitted today! They are great and really help my short legs in getting to the ground in front of the pegs - can reccomend them for that purpose and currently I've only got them on first adjustment setting...

Did Cycle Control go out of business? EDIT: Nope

NOBODY'S HOME AT CYCLE CONTROL. I really hoped he'd come through but other than talking to him once he disappeared again.

I love the levers I got from them. The EX500 levers fit the pregen if you swap out the clutch perch to the 500 version. Got the perch @ $20 shipped off ebay. They work great, and they make the controls easier to get to and quicker to use. Safety, responsiveness, and looks. That's a big in my book.

I ordered from Cyclecontrol three days ago, but haven't heard anything back from them even though I've left a email and phone message. Should I be worried?

Well I ordered levers on the 15th of last month and still no levers. I have talked with Ian the owner once about 2 weeks ago who said the levers were being mailed to me that week. No response to emails or phones calls since. No order cofirmation or update either. I atleast respond and notify when there is glitches or delays. I have filed a paypal dispute and even escalated it still no response from him.

He offered me and sportisi the chance to be the dealer for 250 levers here and there when talked to him two weeks ago. And I was ready to throw down the cash for it to now I don't think that is going to be happening. I'd rather be out $160 than $3000.

I guess I'll give it a week. Though it just seems bad business practice. A email or something other than a cell phone number to call would put me at ease. It seems that people have purchased from cyclecontrol.com and have good results, but no communication makes me alittle worried.

I also received my levers today. I had to file a ton off my clutch perch for it to fit but it works somewhat decent now.

Exclamation NOTICE: Cycle Control Parts

I just got an email from someone outside of Cycle Control in regards to an order I had placed. Basically, Ian from Cycle Control is not well and so a different vendor is taking over the production at this time. The vendor noted that they are currently in the process of acquiring Ian's inventory and will be shipping out orders within the next few days.

So, if you are waiting on parts from Cycle Control, please be patient. If I get any more info, I will update this thread.

Mods, please feel free to move this to an area with the best visibility... much appreciated.

More info

Got another email from tony@a-lmotorsports.com

"OK... Ian is recovering... but it's slow. He was suppose to be out already... that's why I'm stepping up to take care of business. As far as the quality goes... Ian and I work together on the R&D of all of his parts. I am the manufacture for all of CycleControl's parts, so there will be no quality lost."

"Once I get his inventory, I will pack all of them, and put them out with Thursdays mail. If there are parts missing, I will contact anyone who's order can't be immediately filled, and I will produce that parts needed."

"As far as a contact for CycleControl... until Ian recovers, I will be the contact, so please... if you have posts on a chat board... fill free to post me as the contact. (I am Dr Honda on many chat boards)."

Any word on Cycle Control?

The only farkle I have left is moving the footpegs.

The Cycle Control rearset adjusters don't have the bling of actual rearsets, but they're way cheaper and this is a functional mod, not an appearance mod.

Has anyone got any fresh info on Cycle Control? Their website hasn't been updated in some time. I just fired off an email and we'll see if they respond.

Past reports around here give me pause about just ordering something from them, but they appear to be the only game in town short of spending four times the price on a set of rearsets.

Thanks, Alex. I'll drop that guy a line.

That thread is three months old, though...

Anyone have any updated info on this situation to share?

Hi Guys,

I was just in contact with a member here, and I thought I would joint to help clear up some issues.

Let me start by saying... Cycle Control is still up and running. But it is more or less a one person company. Ian Young... the owner/operator has had some very serious medical issues. He spent 6 weeks in the hospital due to complications of a lung transplant. Since then, he has been in and out of the hospital, and unfortunately, his company has suffered a little. Right now, he is in the hospital again because of an infection in a tube that is used for Dialysis. If all goes well, he should be out by the weekend.

Because of this, Ian has not been able to answer emails, or phone calls as quickly as needed, and as I fully understand... this can be frustrating when trying to spend your hard earned money.

OK... this is where I step in.

My name is Tony Ferraro, and I'm with A&L Motorsports. I work with Ian in the R&D stages of his products, and I do the manufacturing for him. Cycle control, and A&L Motorsports are what you would call sister companies. We are independent, but rely on each other.

Since I have full knowledge of his products, I am always here to answer questions. I may not know an answer about shipping times, or specific to your order... but I normally know if things are in stock, or can answer a technical question. Also... and more importantly, I can get in touch with Ian when he is unavailable to the public. So... if there are ever any issues with a Cycle control product, and Ian can not be reached, please contact me at:

Sorry for any inconvenience, and confusion there has been with Cycle Control Products.
