How much should I charge for fairings?

I have no idea how much to charge for my fairings and I'm selling them! :-[ This includes the rear fender but excludes the front. I broke the hell out of the front

When I was looking for fairings, I jumped on eBay to see what everyone else was selling them for and to get a general average for value of the piece(s). Some were in great condition for about half of what Kawi was selling them for, others were high on something asking full price for a busted pile of plastic.

But it does give you a ballpark to start from.

My $.02

Pregen fairings? There are lots of variables. Ebay is a good guide, but you need to look at the listing history too. I've seen fairings sit for half a year at $300 and then expire unsold, and I've seen fairings for $100 that sold quickly. How long do you want to sit on them? Lots of speculators and flippers got burned on the pregen stuff because the new-gen wiped out their market. What kind of condition are they in? Perfect are worth much more than cracked and rashed. It's been over 5 years since the last pregen rolled off the assembly line and the 300 is replacing the next-gen so it may be harder or impossible to sell a fairing set for a premium price as time passes.

Like they have all said you want to scout current pricing between eBay, Craigslist and other good sources. When it comes to things like fairings you may make more and sell faster if you part them out. A lot of people will be buying 1 or 2 pieces because they dropped it on a specific side and won't pony up the cash to buy parts they don't need. So sure, drop the price $20 and hold that piece out for the next guy.
