Oil change issues

Hi I got an 06 250 Ninja I turned into a trike. Anyway i went to change the oil filter and clean the screen. Seems to me the previous owner may have gotten the spring , filter , and tin filter hat in the wrong order. I may be wrong but it just does'nt look correct. Can anyone verify in what order the oil filter system goes in ? It was in this order from the bottom up. Cover plate, spring, filter, then tin hat (filter shroud of some sort). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check this link out:

You did not mention the flat washer that goes between the spring and the filter (92022).

I didn't see any washer Were all the other things in the right order that I said I did'nt put oil in it yet. I will pull the cover back off and put a washer of the right size in between the spring and filter element. So this is how it goes from the top of the bike down. Tin Top hat, filter element , washer, then spring on the bottom , right ?
