Is it a huge issue not to use anti seize on spark plugs?

Can I install spark plugs without the wax crayon anti seize?

Not sure my self but I've used it before. It's a nice idea but I can't see it being a guarantee deal beaker if you don't.

Hey thanks. Actually, I found this direct from NGK which says specifically NOT to use anti seize as you will probably over tighten and break the plug (bad). Their plugs are designed with special metal plating that breaks away when removing them so they don't seize..

Funny that all the recommendations on here say to use anti seize but NGK says not to...

you have two options.

1) use antisieze
2) use the correct torque specs.

for gods sake do one of those two. trust me when i say you do not want a siezed plug. destroys the threading which means you get to remove the head and insert a helicoil (drill, retap, coil up) otherwise if you destroy the threads from seizing the plug in and trying to force it out, and don't put in a helicoil, you'll melt the plug hole and lose all your compression. and then the engine doesn't work so good.
