I have run the Kenda K671s on my EX500 for many years, it's a great tire for the money, excellent wet weather performance, and a great high mileage tire, about 8K miles

I decided to try the Bridgestone BT45s for the Ninjette, and I'm also satisfied with those, about the same performance as the K671s, with better cornering due to the dual compound tire, but at a higher cost, and less mileage about 7k.

I'll most likely go back to the K671s as I don't attack the twisties as hard as I use to in my younger days. On my EX500 I've never had any issues with confidence in the twisties with the K671s.

Both bikes have had the suspension modified/upgraded to my weight, taste, and style of riding.

As far as balancing goes I personally use Dynabeads or Counteract, I run them in all my vehicles with excellent results.

@Ghostt have you looked at the Michelin Pilot streets? On the surface they looked to be more expensive but they have a very long life so you get all your money back with few trips to the tire store.

I was under the belief that they don't come in 16"

What are you doing to only get 8K miles on your K671s? On my EX250 I typically get 23-25K rear and 27-28K front.

As far as balance goes, I have a couple of tire weights I found in my gutter a few years back and just use those. I do check the balance of my rims and my tires separately and then install with the heavy spots opposite. I've found the heavy spots are not at the valve stem nor at or opposite the mark on the tire.

That mileage is on the EX500, and I weigh about 230lbs with gear, maybe that's why my mileage is low, I use it mostly for commuting

Balance beads are easy to install, and are constantly keeping the tires in balance.
