Vacation

So my wife has paid for a cruise. She said it was to celebrate my graduation this year from college. Tough after being out of school for so long and starting it up again, but nice to have it finally done.

I was complaining that I couldn't find much to do for excursions. I've been on a cruise a few times before, but for some reason it seemed the excursions are really lame now.

So I kept going through the pages and found this....
COZUMEL'S MOTORCYCLE TOUR
Quote:
Take a ride on the wild side – Ride a Harley Davidson® Custom Sportster around the island and discover places few know about!

On this excursion you will:

* Head south and explore the ancient Mayan town of Cedral and its Mayan vestiges.
* Continue your motorcycle ride to Punta Celerain where you can climb to the top of the lighthouse for a breathtaking view.
* Learn that the lighthouse has a historical museum with artifacts and information about the families that lived and worked at this historical monument.
* Hop back on your Harley® and navigate the windy road back to the main highway and head north along the “wild side” of the island.
* Stop at Coconuts Bar & Grill and enjoy the lively surroundings while you are served ice cold drinks and dine on authentic Mexican cuisine.
* Have time to wander the beach, take a swim or just relax and enjoy the incredible view.
* Continue your journey north along the scenic coastline passing several beach resorts and pristine white sand beaches.
* Negotiate the turn at Mezcalitos and head west taking the transversal road that crosses the island, heading back to the main town of San Miguel.
* Stop at Carlos ‘n Charlie’s or Margaritaville, your final destination.
* Have the option to stay and continue the day on your own or return directly to the ship.
* Arrange for transportation back to the pier if you choose to stay downtown; guests wishing to return to the ship will be provided transportation.
I am sooo wanting to sign up for this. I don't know if my wife would be too happy (she doesn't like bikes). Still, I'd love to go on it. It would be so much fun.

She knows better than to say something like that. She knows I'd ditch her for a bike ride.

Mark - have you visited Cruise Critic? My guess is that if you search the forums there, you'll find folks who have done this

Good call! I haven't heard of that place, but I'll hop over there and see if there is any information. Thanks!

just be warned, it's bound to become a new addiction - the time leading up to my curise led me ot neglect this site as I was endlessly researching things about my excursions and trying to keep up with the roll call!

Sounds like fun.

On my last cruise I did a 4 wheeler excursion. Someone ran into the back of my friends 4 wheeler and broke the brake line. He just drove it back and didn't say anythink. They didn't notice the damage because the 4 wheelers were a POS anyways. Also two people got lossed and we had to wait about 45mins for the tour guide to go find them. We almost missed the ship because of them.
