I saw you are from northern Illinois Bruce. Are you headed to blackhawk memorial day weekend? I am thinking about running my pregen up there on the 23rd.

Got it! I didn't realize this was CCS and MCRA you guys were talking about. Memorial day weekend at Blackhawk is trackday with STT. Never raced, don't even have a racing license yet but that's the direction I'm headed. Former athlete looking for my competition fix, so I'm running track days until I get my sea legs.

Is it Thunderbike you race in? Are you going to be able to run the KTM in the same category?

We run the 250's in Ultralight Thunder Bike and Ultralight GP with CCS. You should check out MCRA they're right in your back yard. They basically run a track day all day and 3 race classes (optional) at the end of the day. Lots of 250 guys run with them.

Check out MCRA, like Bruce said we're a local organization running a track day with racing. We have monthly meetings to talk about upcoming events and just hang out with enthusiast.

Awesome! Thanks guys. DC, are non-members welcome at MCRA general meetings? I'm experienced on a bike, but inexperienced on the track. Is MCRA a place to improve, or somewhere I should look to hook up with once I have enough track time under my belt?

Non members are more than welcome. MCRA is the perfect place to improve your skills, we have a great novice class with classroom instruction beyond what you will get anywhere else. And if you ever do want to race or get your race license we offer the best priced race clinic in the region.

Meetings are the first tuesday of the month at Hesslers Pub and grill 11804 Tesson Ferry Rd, St. Louis, MO 63128

They start at 7:30 but lots start showing up around 6:30 and hang out and talk.
