Swiss Builders Unveil Nitrous-Breathing Indian Scout

When you think of Switzerland – home to fine chocolate, finer watches, and WWE Superstar Cesaro – you may not think of custom bikes, but that is fast changing. Case in point: the latest chapter in the tale of custom crew Young Guns and their*"Miracle Mike" Indian Scout, featuring a nitrous oxide system.

Nik Heer and Fabian Witzig unveiled the custom racer at the*Art and Wheels Show over the weekend. The next display is set for the Bike Shed London, May 26-28 (If you can go to this, you definitely should –Ed), followed by the Cafe Racer Festival on June 10, then*the increasingly popular*Wheels and Waves festival in Biarritz.


Based*in Rapperswil, just south of Zurich, the Young Guns completely rewired and reshaped a standard Scout, transforming it in to a snarling sprint machine. The team used*in-house machined parts, a fabricated fuel tank, and added*a NOS system.

“We will now start some engine tuning and speed runs over the coming weeks,” Nik said. “We cannot wait to see Miracle Mike fire down its first eighth-mile sprint.”


In addition to Indian Motorcycle the build has had support from Öhlins Racing, Akrapovi? and Brembo. Roberto Pellegrini, Brembo's performance motorcycle market manager, said it was a pleasure to collaborate on the project.

“The bike is equipped with the best brake components in terms of performance, with also particular attention to the design of the products," Pellegrini said. "The front caliper is the Brembo GP4-RX, which represents a significant development in brake caliper design, thanks to the use of software derived from Brembo’s racing experience.”


Nik and Fabian will also enter Miracle Mike in the Punks Peak race at*the Wheels and*Waves festival. Follow the Young Guns on Facebook at*or on their website.
