----------------- The second practice session in the heat of Texas started with a flurry of yellow flags, mainly around turn 11 but that did not prevent the FP1 benchmark from tumbling early on at the hands of Tony Arbolino. That was just the start, lap times dropping and the lead changing hands throughout the session, but the outcome was very much foreseeable, new Moto2 superstar Fermín Aldeguer snatching top spot at the chequered flag to end the day as the quickest man in the intermediate class.
