World Supersport qualifying culminated in twenty minutes of Superpole to determine the grid. World Champion Dominique Aegerter, retaining the 77 plate instead of the number 1, was quickest yesterday, setting a 1'53.407 in Free Practice 2.*

Kawasaki's Can Oncu set the opening benchmark with a 1'53.303 on his opening timed lap, half a second quicker than everyone else. Nicolo Bulega held second spot on the Ducati Panigale V2 until Lorenzo Baldassarri deposed him on his Yamaha. A lap later, Baldassarri improved with a 1'53.176 to take top spot before pitting in.*
