DIY: Speed Bleeders

Ive finally installed the correct size speed bleeders on my ninjette the other day.

The M8x1.25 Bleeder screw PN:SB8125 is the correct size for the new gen ninjettes

Heres a picture comparison of the new gen OEM screw which is M8x1.25(#1), the correct Speed bleeder screw PN:SB8125(#2), and the old gen speed bleeder screw which is a M7x1.0 PN:SB7100S(#3)

As mentioned before, The advantage of a speed bleeder is for when your say at the track, just came off a really hard set of laps and your lever has become soft from boiling the fluid.

A simple crack of the speed bleed can release air, without drawing any air back in.

Really? I've never heard of them. So, it'll bleed the air out but will any oil leak out as well?

no its a ball check valve when you loosen it a quarter turn,

when you squeeze the brake lever which hydraulicaly depresses a ball bearing against a spring to allow the fluid to bleed out of the system. Then instead having to tighten the screw down before you release the lever flike in a typical brake bleeding project). the ball bearing seats back down to close off the system preventing from air being sucked back in the system.

just FYI they're like $20 shipped for a set, maybe a little cause I'm in hawaii.
so they'are relatively cheap and very cost effective.
