Ugly in Chicago

so it's getting stupid up here.

everything was covered last night when I went to bed, but not what I would call a problem.

this morning, by 10 it was a problem. I've shoveled the drive twice so far and it looks like nothing has been touched.

this is what it was like at 6pm

and I just started the Honda on Friday and let it warm all the way up... the garage smelled like.... SPRING!!!

bah

Wow. Cool!

At least you guys are having a winter. We have crocuses coming up and blooming. If we don't get some snow in the mountains, we'll have water rationing this summer.

do you at least get off work/school when it snows that much?

I'd love that amount of snow right now! here in DC our spring usually starts early to mid-march so only 4-6 more weeks to hope for snow days lol

the site was on a delayed start, didn't have to be to work until noon...

schools were closed.

I could have gotten out of the drive but I would have had to be up at 4:30 to shovel out the end of my drive way, snow plow plowed me in good.

it was a beautiful day, bright sun and 20, and I have southern exposure so as soon as I got down to the blacktop... it melted quick.
