How high should the forks be above the top triple tree?

As the title states. I am trying to find out the stock distance the forks rise above the top clamp into the bottom of the bars. I have been raising the bike back to stock since the previous owner lowered it alot! I think I am pretty close just trying to go by where it looked like it was originally clamped down at. I have it set at approx 5/16 inch above the clamp. If anyone knows the proper measurement that'd be great thanks.

Thanks! I guess I need to lower it about 4 mm from where I have it. The best part is after I have the bike raised back to where it needs to be the headlight won't be pointed at the clouds anymore LOL.

Readjust your headlight pointing once you get the suspension dialed. The headlight was off on my bike fresh out of the crate and was nowhere near correct.

Small changes in the suspension setup greatly affects headlight aim.

Yup the way the previous owner had it they were pointed at the sky. I am about to check now how they are. It's dark out now!
