SOCAL:12/22 Angeles Crest to Newcombs

Angeles Crest is open again woot woot! Ride up to Newcombs for brekfast on Tuesday, December 22nd. I rode up about 70% of the way before I hit snow two weeks ago; hopefully it won't be a cold front next tuesday. Meet at 10:00am at the shell station on Angeles Crest.

should be open. I think the mudslide is just temporary. Should be cleared in the next couple of days.

I'm thinking that we'll take it very slow and if we see snow, we can decide to turn back or walk our bikes the rest of the way Yea andrew! got the bike patched up?

the 23 through Westlake the Malibu Hills is a good one..
Mulholloand HWY up there on top of the hills too. Sounds like fun.

I have frame sliders coming and I still need to tighten my engine mount bolts from the 600 mile service so I still may have to sit this one out. Will definitely hook up with some LA 250 riders soon though. I know the whole area pretty well. Save me some food from Neptune's.

Aww, I wish I didn't have to work on Tuesday. I'll catch you guys one of these days, provided I don't get bombarded with overtime come January. Still, have fun ^_^

Ok. Lets do Neptunes if the 2 is still closed. I'll post up the alternate meeting point.

Thanks for the offer dude.
Just waiting for a few things to show up in the mail still before I get started.

Cleaned up my garage and bought all the tools needed today.

Gotta put a battery tender, GPS mount and a few other mods along with the frame sliders.

I'll probably miss this one guys I'll make it out for sure one of these days though. Just starting to get all my riding act together again.

I actually tightened those bolts tonight but I need to lube the chain, pull chain slack and put all that other stuff on anyways so I might as well wait.

You think there will be a lot of commuter traffic. I have to cross downtown to get to santa monica? That is what makes me nervous!

It was windy sitting up and noisey if I laid on the tank, but I freak out whenever I see traffic stopped and that's when get off than deal with it! But I deal with surface street traffic fine!
Looks like rain on Tues though!
