Decals for black Ninja 250

Hi guys,

been away for a while as I've been really busy with school and work. I commute to/from each sometimes at night and having an all black bike I want to make my bike more visible at night.

Are there any stickers/decals that I can put on the bike that are ultra reflective or illumenscent at night?

I am already doing the rear pod light mod so that my rear end is bigger but I want something onthe sides etc.

Any ideas?

I've seen this really cool black vinyl that is reflective. During the day, it is black and wouldn't really stand out. At night, it lights up and shines. I saw pics of a guy who did his black helmet like that. Was really neat.

Go to the Why do people buy black motorcycles? (http://www.ninjette.org/forums/showt...highlight=halo) thread and search for "halo" and you will see one item people are using.

They have them at the Ride Safer link I posted above (as well as just about every other motorcycle safety-related product.) Here's the direct link to the HALO:

During the day:

at night or with Light shone on it:

Any vinyl/decal shop SHOULD be able to get the black reflective vinyl in and then cut anything you want in it. You could do something crazy like subdued black flames up the side of the bike. It would look neat in the day, matte black flames on a gloss black bike but then at night it would just shine.

Be imaginative.

I like these for a black bike....

... they have other, more subtle reflective options, also.

I must say that reflective green kit on the 250R is looking HOT I am actually considering getting me one, but at USD$279 it is a little much ATM with the exchange rate and all that...

I can help with sticker requests. That is what I do when i'm not riding my Ninja. Send me what you want, and I can cut it and mail it to you. Depending on the size of the sticker, it can be pretty cheap. Maybe we can get the "ninjette.org" forum logo made and sent out to some guys to help advertise this sweet site. IM ME.

I need somebody to copy the "Kawasaki" tank logo for me in red vinyl. It has to be the exact same size (or like only 1mm larger) as the tank lettering so I can cover the clearcoated Kawi logo on my 08 Ninja 250 completely. All the Kawi logo replacement stickers I've seen are either too small (showing the edges of the underlying lettering) or too big which has it's own problems.

How doable is that?

I will see what I can do. The tank stickers have a curve to them that makes this tricky.

Does yours have the stock tribal flames? If you were looking just to get the reflective vinyl overlay Tapeworks has them from $79-$119 and these are specifically for the 07' Ninja 250.

http://www.tapeworks.com/KAWASAKI%20Pages/2322.html

I had to special order the reflective magenta and I received the order within the same week. Plus it was super easy to install.

So I noticed after trying to fit too many stock stickers onto the lettering. Even cutting up a tank logo and applying it one letter at a time doesn't seem to work very well. Obviously a tricky job, but it's the only sticker that can't be removed because of the clearcoat and I really don't want to strip the clearcoat and end up repainting the whole tank just to replace the Kawasaki logo.
I think there are a lot of folks who would like to change the color of the stickers on their bikes, but they're put off by this one sticker. If you could figure it out I'm sure there would be others that would be interested.

Although those stickers at wicked cool. I think it would be safer to get a orange flashing light afixed to your helmet. You know those construction lights they have on workhorses along the roadside.
