Everytime I see someone with a mohawk on their helmet I want to yank them off the bike and use a belt on them like my dad use to do to me when I did something stupid that warranted a good beating.

Reminds me of the city slicker who married a country girl. After the reception they hit the road in their car looking for a motel. They found one, and while they were registering, the clerk noticed the very shiny rings. He asked, "Would you like a bridal?" She said, "I don't think so--I'll just hold on to his ears"

I said something similar and my sister, who doesn't ride but wants to, and she objected saying that she thinks that they are cool and is going to fit one on her helmet when she gets her gear/bike. *shrug*

So, guys, take notice: Some chicks dig it.

It's described as a "functional" motorcycle helmet which decidedly isn't so. It isn't aerodynamic and the view is limited. Even if it's made from a real motorcycle helmet, the irregular shapes will affect impact absorption and dispersion. I wanna see it earn DOT and Snell in that state. HA!

+1!

I agree; as long as using the product doesn't cause some additional danger or it doesn't replace a proper safety item, I think it is all in good fun. Like, I used to laugh at the guys who put giant wings backwards on their Civics, thinking they were really just that stupid. After talking to some of them, I realize they just thought it would be hilarious to buy a $30 wing of Ebay and bolt it to the hood of their $600 car :P . I'm sure a lot of the people who wear the goofy-looking stuff (that doesn't compromose safety) are just doing it to be goofy.

If he did lose a bet I just hope it wasn't during winter, that would bring a whole new meaning to the polar bear club.
