Talking Something happened today

As much as I love speed and tearing thru corners today I had a realization that just going for a nice Cruze thru the country can warm the soul both urs and ur bikes I dare say it was an intimacy haha

He he. I enjoy having a chilled cruise-about too. Most the time though I like going fast!

We need a new sub-forum for people getting off on their bike

It's like, as much as you like wild kinky crazy sex, some intimate time can be nice too

Every time I ride, before I leave the house I tell myself, "OK, take it easy. You are just going on a nice, relaxing ride. Enjoy the scenery, the sound, the smells of the world around you. Practice all of those manuevers at a relaxed speed and identify strengths and weaknesses."

It never works out that way, though. I hit any number of my favorite sets of corners on the many good roads I have to choose from and a switch gets flipped. I never ride too aggresively on the street, but I'm definitely going faster than the speed limit.

The start of my ride is usually chilled, as I like to keep the revs low when my ninjette is cold. I feel like that's better for the engine. I normally ride through the streets where I live at less than 10MPH. It's actually really nice: I have time to switch my brain to bike-mode and to savour the simple, but pleasing feeling of being sat on a motorcycle

I Like to cruse slowly when i am in a new place for me the scenery here can be stunning so i tend to take it easy when going and enjoy the speed on the way back. That way i get the best of both worlds..........tho for the last year its been in the car but not for much longer

Ha, I'm exactly the opposite of the speed freaks. I love riding slowly and stopping for photos every 15 feet and just puttering along. It cracks people up that I'm so into motorcycles because I'm the exact opposite of an adrenaline junkie -- I actually have fairly significant anxiety issues that keep my fight or flight meter calibrated too high, so I prefer to seek out calming and meditative hobbies. For me, riding fits that bill!

(I do ride above the speed limit on the interstate though )
