Valve Clearance check

I am getting ready to check the valves on my sons 2009 ninja 250r, it has 7500 miles on it now. My question is, when I have the crank at the 2T position, can I check all the intake and exhaust valves on both cylinders at that point, or must I turn the crank to position the cam lobes for the other cylinder? I know on my Suzuki sv650 I had to turn the crank to a different position for each cylinder but then that was a V-Twin. Thanks for the clarification.

you need to measure with the cam lobes facing away from the buckets. the ninja 250 is a paralell 180d opposed crank. so i think you gotta rotate it at least a little between the two sides

just remember to put it back to tdc when you go to remove the cams

So by facing away from the buckets, you mean they will be facing to the inside of the cylinder?

cam lobe facing up. away from the engine/pistons. the buckets are below the cam, on top of the valve stems.
