They actually have a pivot point so you can move them in and out without losing your sight placement. I was really happy when I found that out.

Proof that we were too excited about not being able to ride to do a proper walk around and admire every little bit of the bike. Although I have looked at the rear end a lot and thought to myself that it really does have a nice back end.

I will Bonnie! Hope you're doing well .

I still can't believe you guys didn't notice the Zs... I knew it had them before the bikes went on sale!

Finally got to take her out for a first ride last night. Best purchase I've ever made.

Apologies to the previous holders of that title... my 250 and my car.

I still haven't looked at the tail lights.. but I did sit on the bike and whisper "soon" into the folded mirrors. Seriously beyond jealous that you can ride.

Did a quick 2 mile ride last night. And looked at the lights as it was warming up. Pretty cool.

What temp do you let it get to before you ride?

I try to get about 140 before I hop on. Any mods you've done to it yet?

I ordered a fender eliminator, and spools and sliders ($75 for both!). I'm thinking about doing DIY videos or pictures for installing them and for maintenance since the internets look somewhat scant on those things so far.

I Just rode it!!!!!! All the way to work so like 7kms... It is 28F and I have a stupid grin on my face. I was extremely comfortable on the bike but I need to shake off the rust a bit.

oh please. You worry too much. Just take it easy on the engine until you get to operating temp. Light throttle, low rpm's. 2 miles tops. Then you can act like a teenager on it.

PS, this is a total can of worms to open. Beware an argument that I'm sure will spawn of of this post.

this used to be my opinion. now i've realized that the requirement is for oil pressure to normalize around the crank, not for the pistons to come up to temp and seal properly. let it idle for 30 seconds and then go. try not to redline until its above 160

30 seconds... So long enough to itch your crotch, put on your gloves, and adjust your helmet. Sounds good to me.

I've always done the 30 seconds thing. Walk out, fire her up, put on helmet and gloves, take it easy till she's warm n toasty. Well every now and then when I had my F4i I'd let it warm up a little bit more because the 3,000 rpm autochoke was kind of annoying when I was trying to ride lol. Carbed bike I just let it sit till it takes throttle, usually will put the choke on so it's at around 2k and ride off, and knock the choke off once it's warmer (if I remember lol).
