When it comes to insurance, I understand dropping collision to save money as it tends to be a rip off on bikes anyway. Comprehensive, liability, and under-insured motorist are where the money does need to go for best coverage. Especially under-insured motorist, the last thing you need is someone without insurance ramming you and then you get ****ed long term because your insurance couldn't cover the procedures you needed to continue a normal life all because you "saved" a few dollars a month.

But that's just my view on insurance and risk, I grew up with my dad working for state farm so I've seen the endless stream of people who didn't have the right coverage and what happened to them. It isn't pretty

Not bad, you do have some advantages that I don't have. I am a young male under the age of 25 (my insurance will continue to go down each year until then when I get a huge spike in reduced pricing) I also have a bit of a record which will cease to exist around the same time I turn 25 which will cause another spike in reduced pricing. Basically I'm paying 4x what I should be because I'm a statistical risk (for good reason hahaha)

I am married muti-policy 40 and I have a speed record as well.
I use Pekin for auto and home. The KLX is $139 a year.

Progressive has been awesome for me. Fast as hell sending a check for my 1st bike after the accident. And when my 300 fell over in the driveway they covered me completely.

As for cost, i have had full coverage on all my bikes. I want to say my 300 was $35ish a month... My 07 250 is just under $20.

Wow. You guys and gals with the more expensive policies listed pay yearly what my CBR - through progressive - costs me per month. I got my first and only speeding ticket at 26 (in a car, not that it matters). No other interesting factors that I'm aware of

If I am, I am one impressively ugly lady, with some curiously dangly bits.

I know you said you're looking to part it out...but- the fairings are quite easily reparable by either plastic welding, or chemical welding (ABS Cement). The ABS plastic cracks very cleanly, and go back together tight . Depending on the crack, it's possible that it will only look like a hairline crack or scratch when finished. Then, you can either sand and paint OR use a touch up pen.

There's a lot of good info on this site on everything I mentioned above. It is surprisingly easy to do all of this yourself.

This, or you can simply ship me your bike.

I must give a shameless plug for Rider's insurance, they have been cheap and awesome for me. No accidents, so I can't speak of payouts, but I have literallly NEVER heard of them not paying for someone's damages. And they solely exist for riders. That alone is awesome in my book.
