They plug in right beneath the seat, its a square relay with two plugs sticking out of it.

More or less, yep. If I am not mistaken, it is actually tucked behind the left rear fairing, normally. It's usually hooked to a little prong that sticks out as shown in the attachment!

yeah I found it after ripping all the fairings and the seat off. yup i'm dumb.
