DIY for installing race fairing?

Hi guys, is there any DIY guide for installing race fairing on the Ninjette? I'm trying to install my airtech race tail, but it just doesn't seem to want to go on there. Is there any special way of doing this? I don't want to use too much force as I'm afraid of breaking it.

I will make one if needed but it's really simple. The tail fairing loves to hang up on the undertail plastics. So slide it on till it stops and then look under, you should see where it's hanging up.

Get a dremel, makes the install and custom fitting a snap. You're most likely gunna need it for trimming around the kickstand mounting tab if you still have it.

Thanks for your reply Chris, I finally did manage to get it on after a lot of pushing and shoving. Now I'll have to take it off again to drill the holes. How many holes did you make in your tail section? I only have a tail section, so I won't be installing anything else.

I have hotbodies, which is slightly different than yours. From the picture, it looks like yours will only need the 2 lower holes near the rear shock (one each side).

I also run a ziptie through one of those two grommeted forward holes into the chassis. There's a non-theaded bolt hole on the chassis that lines up. You can get a little more creative and bolt it if you are willing to do a little fab work with tabs.

Not really required, but since I don't have a kickstand every bit of tail fairing rigidity helps as I balance the bike with 1 hand on the tail doing the rearstand dance.
