'09 carbs

I think they will work in your pregen but someone else more knowledgeable will chime in soon enough

don't think 09 carb will fit pre-gen

hum: it does, but a "little work" is needed for the choke assembly etc

I don't think so either.

I have got a spare 2006 carb lying around here somewhere which will fit, though. I was keeping it as a spare. Guess I probably will never need it, though. I just have to find it. I'd like to get around $90 for it, if you're interested.

from what I've read, (research for yourself here too) pre-gens and newgens use the same carbs, but different size jets, and different needles. someone on here has a pregen and tried using a sportisi jet kit for a newgen, but that didn't work out so well since the needles are different. they're both Keihin CVK30 carbs.

bump on if anyone knows the user that I'm talking about?

I know for sure that I've read there that the slides/diaphragms are interchangeable.

found it. It was Sombo and Ztrack who figured out that they're the same carbs ( CVK30's)

Awesome!! I just might have to get that from you! I would like to see some pictures if I can! Mine has the vacuums torn up. Not sure how it happen but was wondering why my bike wasn't running correctly. Took it all apart, and found both of them torn in the same spots.

Okay. I'm moving this weekend, and the carb is actually at a friends house 200 miles away, so it might be as much as 2 weeks before I get a chance to visit him and grab that carb.
