chunks of old sealer and rust in tank?

so i patched up the damage in my fairing screw hole, no more leak, at least until my new tank from the dealer comes in. now im trying to clean out the old peeling seal job that the previous owner had the dealership do. im guessing they didnt drain out the sealer well enough and theres just huge chunks of it still in there, along with some still stuck on the inside of the tank. if it was just rust id just throw in some aquarium pellets and throw it in a dryer, but how do i get out the sealant? is there anything that can just turn it into a liquid again so i can just pour it out the petcock hole? if not im just going to cut a hole open on the top of the tank so i can stick my hand in and manually remove everything, then just JB weld the piece back on. that way i can even sandblast everything out. as long as itll last the couple of months until my new tank from the recall comes in.

You could try aircraft stripper. Nasty stuff though.

MEK dissolves Kreem, Methyl Ethyl Keytone. $10/gal at Lowes.

Use RedKote to re coat it. Can buy it at the farm supply. Made for old tractors. fills pinholes. Works like a charm. You can use the MEK to cut the RedKote and it will cure faster. Totally bad arse stuff.
