Just got "done" with my DIY polished rim lips

Usually after a mod i like to thank the people that helped doing it or inspiring it.

This morning I went to NAPA (O'Reilly's didn't have what I needed and wanted to sell me a gallon, plus their service has really hit rock bottom, shame) and bought some masking tape and DuPont aerosol paint remover.

Masked the rim's real good like all the guides say to. Worked on one rim at a time. (pro tip: like alot of people who made guides I didn't use gloves, now my fingertips are pretty jacked up, spend a few cents on some dish washing gloves if you dont want to spend on a whole box of disposables)

Sprayed each rim 2-3 times, removing flaked paint between coats. I used a wire sponge, it didn't scratch the rims, I suspect because it's wire of some material softer than the rims. (Protip: whatever you use to remove the flaked paint, make sure it's sufficiently abrasive and use it BEFORE the paint remover dries, as the paint hardens again)

I used the soft side of a scotch brite pad to do the final cleaning of the rims. I need to buy one more can of paint remover and really clean up the outer edge of the rim.

For $15 and 3 hours work it ain't half bad, I think, and Marilyn seems to like it :

I don't know if he is the one who has that UD Replica's suit, but this guy:

I plan to get green Kawi and Ninja logos on a black bike myself. Seeing it is the main reason I got another 250.

oh that's not him then. There's no stickers on my bike besides the factory ones, and the tank pad and traction pad on the edge of the tank and side panels

@alex.s : I know huh? ;]
