problems over 45mph

So here's the problem: it starts to lose power when i'm going over 45mph. the bike will start up fine, it will accelerate fine, its just when im riding over 45 for more than like ten seconds its begins to lose power. Before it shuts off it will jerk, until i finally come to a stop. I don't think its the carburetor because i just had it clean, and i can start it up without the choke on. What could be the problem?

Clean air filter and airbox if possible. It fixed my issue of losing power above 8 k rpms. it "might" help

Did it work better any time since you worked on the carburetors?

How long does it take to re-start?
