First, I can't believe he doesn't drive a McClaren instead of a Benz (although I have had number Mercedes and love them).

Second, I lost interest in Hamilton a few years back when I decided he was a cry baby.

Third, shame on the police, there are better ways to punish Lewis. When Tony Stewart got caught down here doing over 100MPH in a Ferarri driving over one of the bridges before the 500 the cops made him pose for numerous pictures with them. That must have sucked out load.

G'day Ryan. Just a quick insight on the incident from down here. Victoria Police were between a rock and and a hard place. A few hours earlier a well-known local business man was killed on his m'bike a couple of hundred yards up the the road from where this happened when a car ran a red light and struck him. Additionally Australian state governments are under huge pressure from pressure groups to stop this kind of behaviour on public roads, hence the "Anti-Hooning" legislation either in force or coming into force. Had the coppers done nothing, these pressure groups would have been shouting "special treatment" etc from the rooftops. The Albert Park GP-haters would have had a field day in the press, and to top matters off the Victorian State government is in run-up to an election mode and would not be keen on any adverse publicity. Like you and a lot of others I'd just have let it go and I'm sure the coppers would have preferred to just have a laugh and let a former World Champ have his little bit of fun but I'm not sure they had a lot of room to move.

Must admit I had a chuckle when I heard a report that the Police had originally claimed the driver was not fully in control of his vehicle (or words to that effect), and I'd love to read the police report. Now I must go and recline on the couch, and enjoy a warm autumn afternoon and watch the race.

I think I recently saw a post about Louise Hamilton being a cry baby. Maybe they shouldn't let his team radio broadcasts be availablet to the public. Everyone might think he is a cry baby. I started yelling at about 3:30am when Louise crashed (too much excitment), I wonder what the neighbors thought. It was nice of Hamilton to say hi to his wife and family, who were staying at Tiger's house in LA.

Vettel should have won another race (reminds me of Kimi with McClaren). I wonder if we will ever really know what the problems are with his car (both races so far).

That Polish guy (whoever he is) should get some recognition.

I can see why some people might think Hamilton is a cry baby, but I also see it being very frustrating for him with the poor pit strategy. He should have had a second place. Don't think he was going to be able to catch Jenson though. Good job JB!! That should silence some critics.

Holy crap, Lewis whining about his team over the radio was over the top. He's been getting a rep as a whiner, and that certainly solidified it in my view as well. Tremendous talent, but I'm liking the guy less and less.

Yeah, he changed his tone a little in the post race interviews on BBC, but complaining during the race wasn't helping him in the slightest. Though it has to be frustrating to see your chance of a podium go out the window due to poor strategy calls. The call to come in for slicks was Jenson's, so I don't see why Lewis couldn't have made the call to stay out. He said it was probably "the drive of his life", but with poor results due to the strategy.

Yeah hopefully they can figure out what's going on at RBR to get Seb back in the battle. A guy I work with made a good point. If Webber isn't battling Vettel for wins, Vettel could have the best chance to win the championship. The others (Mercedes, McLaren, Ferrari) could have both drivers going for the win, and taking points from each other.

It was clear that something broke on Vettel's car, but it's interesting that he misdiagnosed it as a brake failure. Sounds like it was instead a suspension failure that felt like a brake failure through the controls. As the announcers pointed out, with the front right wheel almost off the ground under braking, something was clearly amiss.
