Hi Javi.
There are lots of threads & posts about fairings (and everything else!). The Search tab is how to find them.

Never had any experience with fairing kit personally, but I think as long as it's equal or lighter in weight and it fits perfectly with the frame, it should be fine And also you might want to search the forum first for fairings

....I have aftermarket "Chinese" fairings, on my wife's bike. I was amazed at how well they fit....absolutely perfect. Every hole matched, and the panel fit and finish were top notch. Custom paint job, AND every piece of bodywork new, for under $500....seems like a great deal to me. Make sure you get the injection molded fairings. Mine have the factory part numbers, and markings on the back too....they must be from factory molds. I paid....$325 for mine, they were on sale....and free shipping. I couldn't be happier with the entire set...even came with new bolts, heat barrier pad, and a new double bubble, tinted windscreen.

Can you give a link?
Most, if not all forum posts I've read had a much different experience buying "Chinese" fairings.

....which is why I was extremely, and pleasantly, surprised! I can only vouch for my own experience, as I was skeptical as well. I'll have to take some time, and look through my ebay to find it for you. I'm hustlin' at work now, but I'll try to get you that link later tonight.

Thanks Christina!
I'll bookmark the link and your comments for when others are discussing "Chinese" fairings.
I use a local guy that makes beautiful race fairings but is considerably more in price however; he's local & great service.

I'd give you a helpful post award but @Alex won't let me!
I still have 35 posts to go... or maybe 1035 if i tick him off!

No worries! No way I'll remember Thomas though; I just go by the username.
Does she let you use her credit card too? That's how you bought the fairings!

I had a set of Chinese fairings on a VFR I owned at one time. I can say that the paint was good, but the fit was horrible. Had to open up holes what were too small and file some of them out to one side just to get them to line up enough with the holes in the mounts to get screws installed.

I just bought my wife a 2011 Ninja 250 race bike. Mommy is very, very happy! I also got to spend money on her race bike instead of just mine....this has negated complaining of recent spending on motorcycles.......
