Ninja prices in U.S?

The Ninja 600 has recently been released here in Indonesia with a 1 month delivery time at an astonishing price of almost U.S $ 26000.
My 250 purchased in November 2010 was U.S $ 5600.
Wondering what you guys pay on average?

That seems about right for a 250, if not a little more.

<-- I paid (embarrassed to say) a little north of $6,000 for my 2011 Most people here get it for around 5000 without fee's and what not.

We paid a little over $4900 for our 2011, including tax and tags. The price will vary with whatever part of the US you're in and who's selling it.

When the 2010 SE first came out I paid a fortune for it.
They get you good with loan rates too if you don't pay it off within a certain time the rate goes up higher. If you crash it and are still overpaying for it, it kinda sucks! lol specially if you paid to repair most of it so it's like you paid for it twice or three times over.

That said I paid over $5000 off the floor total for my 2010SE brand spanking new in 2009 in California at Chaparral. I always wanted to go to that place and buy a brand spanking new bike off the floor and I finally did! paid way too much though and shoulda got a GS500F. lol

Live and learn.

Next time I'm taking a 750 or 1K off the floor but not riding it till it's paid for.

Paid about $4300 OTD last year, brand new. This year prices appear much higher, about $4K before dealer fees & taxes.

Base price MSRP for a standard color is going up to $4200 for the 2012... OTD prices in NYS are $4900... dealer said she is getting whacked with high shipping costs. Bunker

$26,000.00 U.S. for a 600?! Ouch, new releases are pricey over there I guess. You could could buy 2 or 3 for that price here in the states.

Thanks for the info, seems i didn't pay too much for the 250.
Seems like the import tax is the killer,26 grand is just too much to pay, even for a fully legal bike here.
Sad to see the old Bandit i rebuilt sitting in the garage next to the Ninja, unable to ride because like many others here,no legal papers.

I saw a 2011 SE green and a SE white at a Kentucky dealership for $4000 cash, Out the door. No taxes either if you're not a resident.

I paid, $2900 for my used 09 SE Green with 1500 miles on it.

Wow! Some people are paying crazy prices for 250R's. Last December we got a new 2010 SE fresh out of the crate and paid less than $4300 out the door (and complained about the price a little). Geography must play a bigger role than I thought.

Here in the Bay Area prices are extremely high at dealers. One in Fremont has a used 2010 special edition green with 200 miles and warranty. They were trying to sell it to me for 5200 out the door. I told him he is nuts and I can buy a brand new bike cheaper than that. He still didn't budge because it's "special edition". Sadly, some kid 16 year old kid will probably get his parents to buy it for him so he can tell his friends he got a 2010 special edition (which are on the local Craigslist for around 3600).

Most dealers around here have waiting lists (all with deposits down) that range from 10-15 people
