Frame Sliders Opinions Needed
Ok so my custom body work and paint is finally done all of which I did all myself with no professional help hahahaha. That's cuz im asian
 . Anyway I am now looking for frame sliders and from what I've read on the forum I still can't make up my mind. Shogun or Intuitive? Keep in mind money isn't an issue but with that said I still want the best frame slider craftsmanship because we all know no matter how much of an experience veteran rider you are, things happen and these can help from getting a big hit on your wallet.

if I were going to buy a set (and I have no intention of doing so) I would go with the shogun, from what I've read.

Why do you "not have an intention" for buying frame sliders? Afraid you might jinx yourself?

Agreed. I think the design of the Intuitive sliders limits their usefulness to very slow drops/lowsides. If the bike hits the ground while it's still moving (say > 35 mph), I'd rather not have any sliders than have the Intuitives bolted on. That said, if I knew the bike was going to tip over tomorrow, I'd rather have the Intuitives on than nothing. The Shoguns look significantly more substantial, and their mounting solution looks much better thought out.
Not planning on putting on any here either.

Shogun it is! My bike will be unveiled to the forum in a week or so. Dont know if a lot of members have been wondering about what it looks like. Adding a few final touches on it such as frame sliders and tankpad. Also Ive been wondering Kelly about the woodcraft clip-ons.... how do they feel compared to the OEM bars...is the rider position slightly different? And thanks for the tip about shimming the needles. I added (2) 3mm washers.

yep very neat trick. A must do for all 250Rs except for the ones that come perfect out of the factory...

I bought the Shogun crash kit for the wife's bike. I showed it to here and she said it would give her better confidence to learn. She's ridden dirt for many years but she's short so she worries about a low speed or stopped tip over. Hey it helps out Richard and I keep the wife happy.
