Only pic of me with my love, first time on a new bike so I look a little nervous

I got her last week so there should be more to come soon.

I tend to make a confused face for cameras for some reason...

Couple of questions about your pics. Your in the Army, in Okinawa? (20 yrs in the Army, I didn't know the Army had Soldiers in Okinawa) The pic of you riding, is that in Okinawa also, or are u riding on the wrong side of the road? I know Japan drives on the left side, does Okinawa also?

Yes, the Army has a small post on Okinawa. One of my buddies while in the Army was also an Army brat. His dad had been stationed on Okinawa while he was a kid. He showed me lots of pics of the island from when he lived there.

So there ya go, the movie Karate Kid 2 wasn't making it up when they showed an Army post near Mr. Miyagi's home village on Okinawa.

yes i am in okinawa , there are 3 units here. a SF unit a Signal unit and ADA to support the AF. The unit im with is fairly new , been here maybe 6-7 years now? not quite sure. and yes we drive on the wrong side of the road here , they used to drive on the right side but switched over , i dont know why.

Thanks, learn something new everyday, even us old Soldiers can learn. So they just one day decided, "Hmm lets make everyone drive on the left." Must have stock in the auto repair business.

I believe it has to do with Japan trying to reinforce the idea that Okinawa is still under Japanese control. To my knowledge they are still trying to get their independence from Japan and of course the Japanese government does not like letting go. I could be wrong of course, but that's my guess.

Well BlueRaven, Tina is going to upgrade to this bike when she is ready and I am upgrading to the ZX14. This bike can, and probably will be, lowered a bit to accommodate her

I think that the ZX6 is way too much power for me too handle even if i'm used to driving the big rigs. I just checked and i believe the seat height is only about a little over an inch higher than the 250, thought it was much more than that.

i'm sure the width of the bike is more though.. which will play a part in making it hard for you to put your feet on the ground. it's the same bike i have my eyes on if i ever upgrade... and i'm short as well.

Yup,
That was from the "Ninja Fishing" experiment.
That's my "tiny" 3wt fly rod. Actually caught and released a few little trout that day too.

Little inside joke..
The old fishing forum I used to belong to called fishing in private bodies of water and trespassing "Ninja fishing". I made a new definition for it myself though.
