Help me identify this small engine part!!

I was cleaning up and boxing up parts from the 300 and found this part hanging out in the blue.... I just hope it's from the 300 and not the 250 that I put together.

I have a hunch it might be for the clutch rotor starter gear but I am wondering if it could be for something else.

Looks like a locating pin?

Cases, head, side cover?

Both bikes have a shaft within the starter but the measurements are off.

Part # 13107

looks pretty much like a piston pin but it is too small...even for the 250 or 300...
so it must be a guide for casing or head to block, something like that...
if it comforts you, I just finished taking apart the remains of my blown 250 engine and never noticed anything thick-walled but short like that... but I'll have another look on Monday just in case...
The 300 engine from Germany has at last arrived and is at airport's customs...it is due Friday or next Monday and I am taking that apart too for measurments... so I'll keep it in mind

I am going to give that engine a short modeling career and shoot it at least a hundred pics inside and out before putting it back together so we'll have lots of material for future use...

edit !!! I just went to my boxed 250 parts and measured the starter gear shaft (part #13107) and it is 12mm diameter and 26,5mm long so it is too big to be that....

I think I might have found out what it is... PN #92043, same on the 300
http://www.hudsoncycle.com/oemparts?...I15I1527E11123
or PN #92027- also same on 300
http://www.hudsoncycle.com/oemparts?...I15I1527E13703

most probably the second one...IF it is from a 250...

I think I found what it is. I'll just have to confirm it on the 300 case. These are the pins for the transmission gear shafts that hold the bearing races and lube it.
