High Speed Filtering - Informative Close Call

Link to original page on YouTube.

Lots of stuff to think about here regarding his actions before, during and after the close call.

He was damn lucky that metalic coloured car to his right freed up the lane to the right of the stopped car he collided with. I think there are plenty of things he could have done differently to have not had to rely on luck.

Ahahah, I used to go across that bridge or San Mateo bridge daily when I worked at Gilead.

Yeah, I don't split with that much differential when traffic is moving quickly.

Also never approach slowed/stopped cars too quickly.

Yeah. Speed differential is the key.

Good you got out of there with no consequences.

Using the rev-limiter as a horn means you're a certain kind of rider...

when i lived in bay area in the navy i split lanes on a vulcan500. you have to be on game for sure. my closet call: splitting lanes lower deck on the bay bridge following a sportbike. i hit a vans side mirror! i was rattled but keep going to try to get off the bridge. i was a little freaked after that one.

Yeah you can't go too much faster than traffic because things happen.
