DMV needs a pencil rubbing of my VIN?

How the hell do I do this? Is there another spot on the bike besides the sticker on the front fork?

Basically, the DC MVA f'ed up and wrote down the wrong vin on the title when the previous owner paid of the loan. So, now, when I'm trying to get it titled in my name, they won't do it because the vin is wrong.

This blows.

the vin can be located on the engine also, if sitting on the bike it will be on the right side. you will need to take off the side fairing. goodluck!

Naw, the vin was entered incorrectly. Plus the PO is a known member here.

Basically, the vin was XXXXXXX158XXXX and entered in as XXXXXX518XXXX

Delaware has a 1 day "call in" tag that give you permission to ride to the DMV only... Can you do that and show it to them?

I dont think so. I mean, I can get a temp tag, but that's another $20 in fees and I'm angry at them right now so I'm not giving them anything.

The number on the engine is the engine number, not the VIN.
