Nope, he won and set a lap record in the 250 races so he got out of 250 prod and super bike fine. I'm not sure what else he was racing that weekend, but he was pitted right across from us and was still fine when we left right before race 10. Really sad turn of events

I already summed it up on the first page, but If you really want a slightly more detailed summary, I would still rather talk about racing than work, soooo:

Ari and I both determined that sleeping in and saving money was better than waking up before the crack of dawn and paying for full practice, so we left at a modest hour Saturday and showed up in time to do a half day. I spent my sessions working with Dave Moss who showed me how my bike SHOULD be rebounding, taught me a few things, suggested a few changes, and overall made my bike handle better than I knew possible.

Sunday, I switched from the slicks to the DOTs for the races and was pleased to discover that my bike handled the same, confirming that that new shock was cause of my bike's brilliant new handling and not the tires (Which, as an incredibly cheap person, having validation on a big purchase really made my weekend even better. I seriously can't put into words how much fun it is to ride my bike with how it handles right now). There was one short practice session, then it was straight into racing, my races being race 1 and 3. First race was 250 superbike, which is much like ULWS, only they allow up to 450s. I had a fun 3 way battle with one of the FLAP guys and a guy on a 300, and despite almost asspacking both of them a number of times throughout the race, I couldn't find a clean place to pass them, yet I still managed to pull of a new PR by 2 seconds.

Race 3 was 250 Prod, which is pretty much CVMA's 250ss. I got a pretty good start for once and managed to hold on to a good amount of the faster guys for a bit longer than I expected. The faster guys eventually pulled away though, but I had no idea how far behind me the guy I had been racing in the first race was. It was a bit lonely, but I was so convinced that the guy behind me was pretty close that I didn't let up at all, almost running off a couple times. I ended the race having apparently formed a pretty decent gap, and knocking another second off my personal record even without having anyone to chase.

All in all, last cvma weekend was fun and gave me some confidence and drive back, but something about this weekend made me completely fall head over heels in love with road racing again. All I can think about right now is how badly I want to ride my bike again, and it feels awesome. Great times. You guys missed out

Nah nah nah- I'm still running on racer's high and just talking so I can relive the weekend in my head. Listening for outside parties is entirely optional and not an expectation.

Side note, this whole row both in front and behind me was about 80% 250s. I love walking through the pits and seeing these little bikes everywhere

Glad to hear things are going well for you with racing. That's what I love about racing--seeing your times drop and feeling more and more confident cornering/riding/racing...man, what an adrenaline rush!

Why's your bike pointing the wrong way? Also where my tires at?

Because the other side of my bike is blue instead of red, so it wouldn't have looked as color coordinated otherwise. OBVIOUSLY.

And also as illustrated in above picture, the tires are on the bike..... so...... yep.... I can get them back to you this weekend maybe?
