Anyone take the bridge over Hoover Dam???

Was just wondering if anyone has rode across that beast of a thing on a bike yet? Friends that worked on it said they had gust over 100 mph flying through there. But Ive talked to people and they said the walls are pretty big. (cars). Was not sure if it was safe to head through there on a bike or not or if i would have to go through Searchlight coming from the East to get to Las Vegas.

No probably 50% lol...But theres huge cement walls to block the wind on the bridge..just wondering how much it blocks..and if its safe to ride over.

Is this the new really tall bridge that they built to divert traffic from going over the Dam itself? I've ridden over the Dam a few times but all prior to the new roadway. It's crazy tall!

This was on a site talking about the bridge:

"It was very windy -- so windy that they advised high profile vehicles NOT to use the new bridge, although we saw quite a few semis on it. John rescued a lady's baseball cap as it tried to make a suicidal plunge over the side, and we saw another cap far down on the rocks that wasn't so lucky."

yep thats the one haha. Hmm sounds like its ill advised to take my bike across..its just a 1 hour drive to vegas with that bridge now i go through Searchlite will add 30-45 min.
