Hillary does not have authority to do anything the rest of the "people in power" have not approved. They are all in it together. Our government is out for themselves and the right blames the left and the left blames the right just to hide what their side is doing. We are DOOMED unless things change soon.

She was secritary of state. She owned the Democratic Party. Her peolle all allowed it to happen. I blame her. She could have stopped it. But she got a ton of money kicked back for the deal. And again Trump and the peolle that voted for him had nothing to do with it.

So what you are saying is the high-five was about how they manipulated control of Hillery 6 years ago?

I've got no love for HRC, but HRC is not in office to influence government policy anymore. No need to bring up what HRC did or didn't do to try to justify what Trump, his family, his cabinet members, his appointees are currently doing within our government.

AFAIK, Trump is the only POTUS who cheated on his 3rd wife right after she gave birth to Baron.
The only POTUS who cheated students of their savings for higher education through his failed Trump Univ.
The only POTUS who cheated contractors and business partners for goods & services with his multiple bankruptcies and shut down of Trump Foundation, the phony foundation which used donated funds to pay politicians, pay his own lawyer fees and pay hush money to his mistresses.

It will not surprise me one bit if these GoFundMe wall donations would end up being used to benefit Trump in some ways. Instead of money for classrooms, teachers, homeless vets, crumbling roads & bridges, Trump wanted to shut down the government for a border wall.

But we have a reality TV actor for President, maybe this is all just a poor reality TV show.

Here's an interesting listen when you're up against someone who thinks they know everything:

Death of Experts: Why do so many people think they know best? And are they putting dolts in charge of government?

BBC and Al-Jazeera have pretty good coverage. I like the British manner of more or less deadpan reporting. No hysteria. No yelling at each other.

Any media source can easily be manipulated for swaying the public.
Not only important to know the source, but also find multiple others and opposing, equivalent sources to verify the headlines.

Source: The Media Bias Chart

Personally, I trust most of NPR & PBS reporting.

I almost choked on my soda. Seeing CNN as "opinion, fair persuasion" while Fox News is labeled "propaganda, contains misleading info." Those weren't the first issues I noticed, either. NPR "fact reporting" ???? Are we talking about the same NPR that fired Juan Williams for not being liberal enough after he started appearing as a guest on the Fox News Channel??? This chart is a joke.

Maybe if you learn to read what's written before the chart..

I did read what you put before the chart. I happen to agree with your statements before the chart. My comments were pertaining to the chart itself. If you click on your own source link and read the page, whoever did this chart seems to take it seriously.

Yes, I know it was quite awhile ago that Juan was on NPR.

You owe Koala an apology! Even though it has been a decade since Juan Williams was on NPR the facts remaines the same that he was fired foe being too “conservatives “. The passage of time does not change documented facts.

I apologize, people can get tired for speaking out of term while on TV, maybe just not Trump.

If conservatives actually used "documented facts" to hold Trump accountable, he should have been out as candidate Trump when "grab'em by the pussy" came out.
You think Trump would apologize, too?

I thought this thread is discussion about our President, not whether media source make bad decisions on firing someone.

FYI, NPR is still more trustworthy than Fox News, regardless where it sits on a chart.

I would agree that CNN has too much opinion and that Fox is misleading. I like NPR (they at least seem to let people talk when they have them as guests and try for reality).

I quit watching broadcast news in general some time ago when all I saw on Fox was scare stories and things that seemed to be made up entirely. They ran a story about people following GPS directions and driving into Lake Michigan, which the week before had been a plot on the show E/R.

Our local news stations weren't much better unless there was a breaking story locally. I'll turn it on during the fires, that kind of thing or if there's a good car chase but that's about it. It's all "you should be afraid!!!!" and I don't think that's either good or useful so I don't watch it.

going by what's on CNN and MSNBC when I am in customer's homes, I would think that the country is about to collapse around me, and armageddon will be happening any second now.
@Snake I appreciate you standing up for me, however, I keep my big girl panties on. I can handle views that differ from mine. It also doesn't hurt my feelings when a person doesn't think I can read, or comprehend what I read, just because I disagree with part of a post.

The news cycle in our current world is 24/7.
Knowing how to distinguish one source vs another and able to do your own research to determine what is fact vs propaganda or opinion is really not a difficult skill if you are able to stay objective and think critically.

Sad truth is: people who mistake opinions for facts and believe opinions for facts.
Media companies produce what sells. What sells are stories that get people riled up, angry against a different group of people, so the masses can ignore the real issues.

Whether the issues be immigration, foreigners seeking asylum, minimum wage, universal healthcare, public education, homeless, veteran care, public infrastructure, federal budget, environment, global warming, Supreme Court appointee, etc..
I believe we have the brightest people within this country to solve all of these problems objectively... just not someone like Trump and his family in the White House.

for the most part. I'm not Trump's biggest fan, but I'm not a hater, either. He's definitely trying to shake things up. I can say that as of right now, I am happy for the extra "crumbs" of the money I work for on my paycheck, as well as not having to pay for not having insurance anymore.

Let me get this straight, just because you get "extra crumbs" and not having to pay for insurance;
do you think it's okay for Trump family to keep ripping off taxpayer money while holding offices in our government?

Do you think that's fair for veterans that lost their limbs during services and homeless in the streets?

Do you think that's fair for teachers who spend thousands of their own money annually to pay for classroom supplies?

Do you think that's fair for secret service agents who get no pay during holidays to provide security at Mar-a-Largo for Jered & Ivanka during the Xmas & New Year holidays away from their own families?

Do you think that's fair for the national zoo keepers to take care of animals without pay and having to ration the frozen food supplies for the animals?

I think "shaking things up" is not the right answer when you have more important things to take care of when you are POTUS.

Evidently I have made some unhelpful posts. I am hoping that we can all agree to disagree and get back to motorcycles which is a subject we can all agree on.

What exactly do you disagree with?

The fact that Trump is a cheat?

The fact that his implemented policies are poor?

The fact that he is doing more harm than good to our country while in office?

I refuse to ignore those facts and go back to motorcycle topics when it's more important that we all act as citizens that care about this country than debate about which media source is lying more.

This whole "gimme my wall or I'll shutdown the government" is simply BS.
I don't even care if there are undocumented immigrants in this country; I think it's a non-issue.
Without the social security numbers the undocumented are not privy to the welfare politicians claim they receive,
the vast majority of undocumented are normal people trying to live a better life, staying under the radar, paying their taxes, paying into social security, disability, etc..
This whole Border Wall, separating & detaining (or even killing) children, deporting the illegal BS is just the top 1%, those who profit from running detention centers, prisons, building walls,
convincing the working poor to blame a subset of working poor for the fact they are all poor instead of realizing the reason they are all poor is because of the vast income inequality and resource price inflation in combination with wage stagnation.
The existence of poor person is not why the rest of us are poor, it's because people who control the government policy want to do everything in their power to refuse increases on your wages.
As long as corporations and industries have lobbyists stuffing the politicians influencing the government policy, we will never have living wage for the poor.
Put all of Senate & House of Representative on minimum wage, see how fast things change;
while the rest of government get no pay or furloughed, they are still getting their salaries and free healthcare.
