Honda has used Showa components for years, the prior few generation 1000RR's had 'em too.
Review of the 2008 version All Honda has done this time is updated to the latest Showa designs, which Suzuki and Kawi went to over the last two years on their 600's / 1000's. I'm curious about the electronics package on the bike; I have to expect Honda will match Kawi and BMW with a full traction control setup in addition to ABS at this point.

I wonder if they have the trick transmission the MotoGP bikes are using.

I too was looking into the 'tronics on the bike. Not that I am interested in getting a liter supersport (would much rather have an Interceptor) but I think that the technology is simply awesome and hopefully it trickles down into all the bikes.

Unlikely, it was designed to only work at high revs and high loads, and barely works at "normal" speeds. They have issues with it when they aren't at race pace.

I'm not sure if I like the headlights. They look sharp from the side, but from the front, ehhh..
But that's just me nitpicking. It looks sick overall. Honda is the way to go! |
