Brake and Clutch Lever Compatability
I asked this question in the Pre-Gen forum but I'll ask here too sicne there's much more traffic:
I've done a search here to no avail so I'm asking here: Do the current generation brake and clutch levers fit the pre-gen Ninja? I ask because I see plenty of aftermarket levers for sale and precious little for our pre-gens. I'd like to get some adjustable folders and put the originals in the spares box. The ones in the pic are $38. I wound up paying $35 for one lever from a parts dealer at the track. Not complaining, I'm glad he was there or my day would have been done.

I stumbled upon these on ebay and bought them. They are specific for pre-gens. I'll post on my results when they arrive.

Swap the clutch perch, I bet the brake lever is plug and play. If not, swap the MC as well, screw it. Then just use newgen levers.
For sure the Ninja 650 MC and pregen brake levers mate up; I just put a 650 MC on my bike with the same pregen brake lever. |

It'll be interesting to see how these levers fit. I'm pretty sure that the brake lever is going to be a three minute job. The clutch lever may be a little more involved. We shall see.

The folding levers arrived today. Took about 30 minutes to install. They feel like quality items. Went on easily.
