Exclamation Strange sound while riding on Ninja 250R

I think nobody in the world ever faced this situation.

I was heading back home from work at night on my Ninja 250R FI 2009 with 50K on it.
The engine was warmed up before I left the parking lot. The weather is cold. After reaching the 60-80 kph the weird sound/noise surprised me. I noticed when I push the clutch the engine continue to run on idle speed regularly although the noise goes with the speed, as the speed lowers below 60-50 kph the sound/noise dissapears.

What can it be guys? I'm seeking for help, it just bothers me. I didn't notice any damage to the engine or whatsoever. I spoke with the mechanic and he didn't have any clue O_O

Please hear and listen, comments or any ideas would be appreciated a lot.
Help me to understand and to solve this issue please. Thanks a bunch!!

Belt squealing? lol

My guess something related to your fuel injection system.

It is related to the final drive, since it is independent from the rpm's of the engine.

It could be any of the bearings (rear wheel or output shaft) or a neglected chain.

Could be also related to the front wheel (bearing or speedometer cable).

Put the bike on a central stand and rotate each wheel by hand has fast as possible (watch for that chain).

Yeah, a friend and I also diagnosed this matter and we can deduce that the cable might be a problem. Also, when I heard it I leaned forward as much as I could to undentify where does it come from and I can be almost sure it's from the front.

A drilling/spinning sound that touches some surface somewhere that's I think it is.

In some way, maybe. But when I deattach the transmission from the engine, it runs on idle regularly. The sqealing noise goes by the speed, if I slow down then the sound has "a slowing effect". I just think it's not the engine. I can rev it with clutch pressed while going 70 kph and the sound doesn't change. Depends if I accelerate or decelerate.

Thanks for the advice. I should take apart the front and the rear wheel and check 'em, and the cable too.

Sounds like someone put a portable air raid siren on your bike.

It's your speedo cable, don't believe me? Give your gauge cluster a good whack while riding and hear the sound blip in tone as you hit the cluster, the cable vibrates, causing the cluster internals to vibrate acting like an amplifier.

I had the exact same problem.

funny or not it had an alarm a year ago. Until I decided to screw the bolt to its place which at the end I ****ed my fuel pump. I had to remove the alarm from the bike at all. I didn't know how and where to look for it so some mechanic did it. Could be he left the "horn" on, all the time. lol but the sound is very rare.

Your bike sounds like the speedo in this video. A little lube may fix your problem. basically the shaft on the inside of the cable is rubbing metal to metal.

You are welcome, Alexander

The easiest test is to disconnect the cable from the front wheel, secure it to the chassis and ride the bike.

You should unscrew the cable at the wheel and pull out the inner shaft carefully (note which end goes where), coat the entire cable with moly grease (found at auto parts stores) and re-install, making sure the ends seat the right way. You may have to turn it a little to go back in.

I greesed the cable as mentioned above, and I made sure the cable casing was facing as directly down as I could without any twists as the mettle guide on mine had bent slightly.

Sorry I forgot to mention I gave the inside of the gauge cluster a good spray with ACF-50 which is a penetrative lubricant and water displacer, as I wasn't too sure if it was the cable or the speedo gears, give that a try.

It still happens to me though, occasional.
