Installing 15t Vortex front sprocket on 08 250r, require shimming and how?

Have a 15t Vortex sprocket on way..
http://www.solomotoparts.com/Vortex-...r-EX250-08-10/

Now do I have to shim this?
How do I go about doing that because doing a google/youtube search for "shim sprockets" isn't showing much. Is shimming just a washer slipped on shaft between motor and sprocket?

I should have just got a JT as I read it's a simple swap but too late.

Thanks

i got the old sprocket from JT 15t for the 2007> model for my 2008< model. It's 0,8mm shorter so i bought another shaft locking washer (the one you take off from the 14T sprocket), and added between my JT sprocket... works fine...

dunno if vortex has same size

ok so just another added washer between the sprocket and motor to align everything.. thanks. All the searching I've done I haven't seen anything with pics of spacers added or if people that installed vortex 15s had to modify anything.

Won't know what the size is until the sprocket arrives. thanks

The thing is, you don't even have to do it on the JT sprocket because it's not off by that much.

That said, I don't think Vortex made sprockets for the older model so it probably only fits your bike.

The difference between the pre 08 and the post 08 thickness is 0.8mm. Really not much of a difference. I bought the pregen one by accident and still plan on using it.

The shaft locking washer is bowl-shapes. Are you sure that's the one you bought? There's another washe that I recall people buying to shim it.
