Ninja 250R Airfilter inlet diameter

Hi guys, so I'm planning on taking the airbox out of my Ninja 250R 2010 model and inserting a K&N cone filter or a dual layered foam filter.

I have the EFI version of the bike and I've literally been searching to the ends of the Earth to find the size of the inner diameter of the inlet to the air filter as there is so much conflicting information that I cannot find a solid answer for the EFI version of my bike.

Is there a difference in diameter from the carbed to the EFI versions. If so how much of a difference is there?

Help on this topic would really be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi, yes I have.

I've been going through a few of the pages on this forum already and I still cannot seem to find my answer. I have also searched some of the filters which some people have installed on their Ninja 250's but they were running carbs so I'm not sure if the efi version would be the same.

On my carbed 250 I used the oval K&N listed in the K&N catalog, 1 filter fits over both carbs. Then I needed one for my 300 so i swiped the one off the 250 and it fit right on, using that logic I would guess it would fit the EFI250 as well.

Alright, awesome. I just don't want to buy a filter and take the bike apart only to realise that it doesn't fit. All that work and effort down the drain, also not to mention that a decent filter is not all too cheap either.

Do you perhaps have the model name and number of the filter that you are using?
